What is it?

The Handshake Kit™ builds community through the power of human touch.

As two hands clasp, people experience the promise of respect, cooperation and trust inherent in a handshake.

The power is in the handshake. They capture the moment in a sculpture. The process brings out the feelings behind the act of touching and shaking hands and gives people a common experience that builds trust.

How does it work?

The Handshake Kit™ joins people together. The process creates the basis for cooperation while creating a lasting symbol that commemorates the act of coming together.

The kit provides all the materials you need to capture the handshake gesture in a three-dimensional cast. Materials include non-stick gel, high-quality plaster wraps, a display stand and instructions.

Two people shake hands while a third person applies plaster wraps over their shake. As they are connected together, people experience a heightened awareness of what it’s like to be joined with another person.

When the drying is complete, each person slips their hand out of the cast. The sculpture is placed on the display stand to be a physical reminder of the experience of coming together.
